What a wonderful resort in Palm Springs we found based on a friend's strong recommendation. This is one of the cleanest resorts I've ever stayed at. The staff (Kent, Maxwell and all) were incredibly welcoming and friendly. The rooms were very large and our suite had a separately living room and enormous bathroom with large soaking tub (+ shower). The included daily breakfast was so nice and the complementary lunch was a bonus we hadn't expected. Oh, and the weekend wine in the evenings - again totally unexpected. Definitely enjoyed ourselves and will visit again.

Wow what a place. I can't find a fault with this resort in any way. The room was spotless. The hospitality was second to none. Kent and the rest of the crew were so accommodating and friendly. Very attentive maintenance and housekeeping. Breakfast and lunch is included in the price, and it is a generous variety. A cantina provides for free refreshments after hours. Pool and spa are fabulous. It is clothing optional but you don't need to. Plenty of shady spots to lounge for the very fair skinned (which was helpful for me). We felt very relaxed and didn't want to leave the resort much during the day. Descanso is a great option if you want to spend some time unwinding after the madness of Vegas or LA. All I can say now is that if you're from overseas like us, just book this place as you won't regret it.

Perfect place to lounge by the pool, get work done, and relax. If you are a light sleeper and noise sensitive I highly recommend only booking this place when a balcony (top floor) room is available. I found the ceiling insulation insufficient, so I could hear everything the upstairs guest were doing, and this was especially stressful at night time when I was trying to sleep. I left tired and sleep deprived. Besides this pitfall, I found the resort to be a perfect place for a sabbatical, vacation and break from the busy work life. Kent, the guy that helps run the place, is an absolute gem, so friendly and helpful. The staff are all welcoming and keep the place clean and well stoked (towels, snacks and drinks). I highly recommend.

The staff is amazing; very friendly and helpful, before, during and after our stay. The property is gorgeous and well maintained. The complimentary breakfast and lunch exceeded my expectation. The value add of these meals were a big savings and definiting should be a selling point to anyone looking to book a room. The view of the mountains from poolside were breathtaking. We will be recommending the Descanso to our friends, not to mention checking our own calendar for our next visit. This is a top-notch resort, a 10 out of 10!

This is exactly what you’re looking for! Not the mega resort. This charming (and I’m not over using the word) and beautifully maintained property has just the right number of nicely appointed rooms. You can get to engage with other guests in the around the lovely pool, in the hot tub or enjoying some nibbles at the patio. And the staff who all went above and beyond to assist us were funny and attentive. They served a great breakfast. We loved the free flowing coffee. The resort is clothing optional. I would describe us as a couple of middle aged bears and we felt most welcome. Plenty of eye candy for everyone’s tastes. This is the place you’re looking for!

Can I give 10 stars? 100 stars? From my first interaction over the phone with Kent, the property manager, I was in good hands. It was a very busy weekend, and yet Kent took great care of me and found a way to fit me. Everyone on staff, including Joe and Maxwell, is so kind and nice. The property itself is beautiful, relaxing, and simply a cut above other places. I think all of these attributes combined translate into the guests having a great time…which was clearly the case during my stay!

Third time I've visited this lovely, welcoming, intimate resort... Kent, Max, and the rest of the staff are super friendly and helpful. The rooms are so comfortable, beautiful, and spotless. Pool, spa, and firepit are wonderful spaces for relaxing and socializing, if you wish. The breakfasts and lunches are perfect, and the snack room has round the clock coffee, cold drinks, fresh flavored waters, iced tea, lemonade and cookies. Love this place!

This is the second time my partner and I have stayed at this resort. each time we were greeted with smiles and professionalism. the rooms that we stayed in were very nice and very clean. The manager Ken was knowledgeable of the area and recommended several places to eat and drink in which we tried and were impressed. We will be back. Thank you Ken!
